Modern Fashion Inspired by Heritage
The folkTrend! fashion show was first launched in 2016 with the initiative and support of the Hungarikum Committee. Through annual calls for entries, it provides an opportunity for designers who draw inspiration from ancient Hungarian clothing traditions to create contemporary garments and accessories for the 21st century. Since 2019, the Association of Hungarian Folk Artists has been a partner in the initiative, and each year, this ever-evolving, visually captivating show filled with innovative ideas returns to our main stage. This year’s stage concept is brought to life by choreographers Enikő Kocsis and Dezső Fitos, featuring dancers from the Fitos Dezső Company and live music.
